Shannon's Grandfather registered the Lazy"s" brand in Oregon in 1903. His other Grandfather ran for Mayor of Portland Oregon and was only narrowly defeated in 1917.

The Dakota warrior, in all his regalia, stares from the black shadows of the wolfskin headress. This is really an experimental painting for those who are attuned to this art form. The two dimentional background is patterned with Native American designs dominated with red contrasts with the dimentionality of the feathers and wolfskin. I was very pleased with the results.
