Shannon's Grandfather registered the Lazy"s" brand in Oregon in 1903. His other Grandfather ran for Mayor of Portland Oregon and was only narrowly defeated in 1917.

This picture is really one about speed and thrust. The longhorizontal of the painting is divided furthur horizontally, blue for the top part, orange and green for the bottom. The blue is molded to bring the greatest sharpness to the leading edge head becoming darker to blur the speed in the hindquarters. The slightly elongated rear quarters are repeated stereoscopically to add to the motion. The yellow orange speed line was added to add to the graphic quality and to the speed of the animal.
